What information we collect
Contact enquiries
When you contact us via our enquiry form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We may also collect your phone number if you provide it.
Mailing list
If you sign up to receive updates from us, we collect your name and email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited most and how people navigate the site. This data is anonymised and aggregated; we cannot use it to identify you personally. See the Cookies section below for more detail.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard server log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used solely for security and technical operation of the site.

We will never sell your personal information to third parties, and we will never use it for purposes beyond what is described above.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share data only with:
- Vercel. Our website hosting provider, based in the US. Data transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google. For anonymised analytics via Google Analytics. Google may process data in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Email service providers. If we use a mailing platform to send newsletters, your name and email address are shared with that provider under a data processing agreement.
- Legal authorities. Where we are legally required to disclose information (e.g. to comply with a court order).
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as necessary:
- —Enquiry emails: Up to 3 years, in case of follow-up or purchase discussions.
- —Mailing list: Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
- —Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymised; retained per the Google Analytics data retention settings (default 26 months).
- —Server logs: Up to 90 days, automatically deleted by our hosting provider.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the following rights. To exercise any of them, simply email us at katharine@watsonevans.art. We will respond within one month.
Access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Erasure
Ask us to delete your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
Restriction
Ask us to pause processing your data in certain circumstances.
Portability
Receive your data in a machine-readable format to transfer elsewhere.
Objection
Object to us processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent
Where we process based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Complain
Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
You have the right to make a complaint to the ICO at any time: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns before you contact the ICO, so please do get in touch with us first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically. If we make significant changes that affect how we use your data, we will notify you directly where possible.
